Don't know if it's a northern thing, but the way I've been brought up was ACAB - I'm sure there are nice cops, but I don't trust them, and I don't help them, and as I've said, anyone who joined the filth from my town automatically lost all their childhood friends. It's part of the culture - you don't trust the police, and you tell them NOTHING.

I appreciate that London was on edge after 7/7, but Jean Charles was being restrained, and while he was pinned down, undercover cops (how was he to know they were police?) shot him in the head 7 times.

He was an electrician, only slightly dark skinned, just trying to earn a living. He was wearing a denim jacket, T-Shirt and jeans, not a suicide bomber outfit. He was just 27.

Some things are indefensible, Perc. I'm sure your friend is a nice person (any pics BTW ) But she's part of the system which shoots people dead at Stockwell.

You're right there Perc - I still love you though, remember that.

Part of being grown-up is knowing that other people have different opinions. And respecting those opinions. Plus, it's the internet, not real life.

I once got arrested in Leeds for verbally abusing a WPC - I was walking home about 3-4 a.m., and got stopped by two pigs, one blonde female, one bloke. Quick check where I was going, they checked if they knew me, "OK, on your way."
10 minutes later a police car pulls up, out gets a blonde WPC and a male PC. When she asks me what I'm doing, where I'm going, I say "You only stopped me 10 minutes ago, you fucking stupid bitch".
I mean, how was I to know that there were TWO blonde WPCs patrolling Meanwood in Leeds at 4 in the morning. And that it was illegal to call a policewoman a fucking stupid bitch. To give the filth some credit, they let me go as soon as I explained myself.
