My old Creative 1G Zen Nano has held up to 10 hours of audio on it, probably more, I've never maxed it out. Plenty big enough for a couple weeks of KATG, and they're under $90.

Pay about $100 more and get an Apple Refurbished iPod video for $199.

If you're gonna spend that much, get a toshiba gigabeat. Apple has bad customer service and most ipods only last about 18 months.

Buy your Ipod from Best Buy and purchase the product replacment plan that cost 20 or 30 dollars. Its cheap insurance. And if a tricker model Ipod comes out you can tell them it isnt holding a charge and replace it for the newer one. Or just bring it back and get a fresh Ipod every few months

My plan is to stockpile KATG episodes and burn one per CD, but some are obviously more than 60 minutes. Does anyone have any tips for how I can fit the longer KATG episodes on a standard CD so I can play it in my car?

Damn, I'm going to go nuts without my iPod. AAAACH!
does the cd player play mp3's, worth checking some do

also what's wrong with the ipod, is it the battery? you can replace that.

Luckily mine has lasted 4 years. My brother is still using my hand-me-down first generation iPod that's close to 5 years old now.

If you don't want to mess around with your broken iPod, there are people who do nothing else. eBay has several broken iPods for sale. Sell yours and put the money towards a new one. (or a refurbished one)
