3) How can you not like Lord of the Rings movies? You must be talking about some other film adaptation I don't know about.
Fully agree - LOTR was one of the best trilogy of films we've had in a long time. They did exactly as much of the books as they could.

I'd like to point out that I don't consider Avatar to be an anime. it's written and produced by Americans and some of the animation is done in Korea. "Anime", as a term, should denote roots in Japan. Avatar has no Japanese roots.

This always bugs me. 'Anime' generally refers to the style. 'Japanese roots' is also vague, if it has to be made by a Japanese studio to be anime then Batman Beyond is anime and Robotech: Shadow Chronicles isn't

If you really want to be a butthurt about it then 'anime' is just the Japanese word for 'animation' which means anything from Scooby to Popeye to Avatar is anime.

Just enjoy the damn show.

Weeeee!

This makes me really happy! I feel so childish saying it, but this was one of my favorite series of all times.

Where should I start? (Not Avatar)

I'm asking here cause I figure if you guys like avatar, you probably like some other animes as well.
Cowboy Bebop is a MUST.

Samurai Champloo (even though the female character was so fucking annoying).

Code Geass: This anime has so many plot twists. It's fucking great. Especially the second season.

Baccano: It's an anime that follows about 7 different characters who's stories all come together.

Darker than Black: Sci-fi with geat characters. ( second season is shit in my opinion)

Monster: This is the most multi layered, complex, psychological anime, that I have come accross. (copy pasted from a review but pretty much how I feel about it)

Elfen Lied: Good although it's been a few years since I've watched it.

Read or Die: Good but also been a while since I've watched it.

Also Evangelion the series and movie.

Damnit. I was really hoping this would be another SNA. Or DNA. Or BNA.

Neon Genesis too. The guy who wrote it was going through a mentally unstable period, very trippy and full of robot monsters and aliens. Also, movies.* There are two. One of them is a summary.

Speaking of trippy, FLCL.....I can't say anything more, you'll just have to watch it.

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit. This has got to have some of the best combat scenes I've ever seen. Good plot, excellent fighting. Too bad it was sparse =(

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is excellent. Other one is good (Just Full Metal Alchemist) but this one is much better, and in my opinion, a much better art style.

Battle Royale (Though the manga was better) So fucked up! A bunch of high schoolers in China (I think) are put on an island and forced to kill each other. It's fucking awesome.

Fuck Naruto, and fuck Death Note, and fuck Bleach. They can go die in a hole.

(I completely missed the post asking for animes to watch. I saw Avatar sequel and had to do a fangazm)

Second FLCL, that shit's crazy.

Genius Party/Genius Party Beyond are a great series of shorts, never could find subs for them, though.
