Talkshoe/libsyn RSS Feed

Hum, is it just me, or is the libsyn archive slow as hell? I thought what I'd do was to download the eps from libsyn, and create my own, local, archive of KATG (yes, I'm one of those weirdoes that listen to old shows, sometimes more thsan once).

The last month or so worth of shows downloads beautifully, but when you pull the older ones, they are obviously on another server, and the downloads are awfully slow..at least for me.

Anyways... right now I have two KATG-feeds, the Talkshoe one, and my own, local feed, running off a webserver here in the house, and only serving old shows

Libsyn hosted shows stay on the high speed server for one month after posting. After that they go to a slower archive server.

so are the old shows staying on libsyn or do we all crash em downloading them.

I am keeping the old shows on the libsyn feed and getting the new ones on the talkshoe feed. Just a guess, but I think they will slowly upload the back catalog to the new servers...

I like the auto play, it's form matching content. You don't get a choice of whether or not to listen to Keith - he just comes on and shoves it down your ears

I'll remove it if you want but I thought it fit really well for this particular instance

I got it from here about a quarter of the way down (@ How to Use)

[MEDIA=200,0,yes]http://www.fileden.com/somefile.mp3[/MEDIA]

Where
o) 200 is the width of the media player that you want - required if you want to use the media player options
o) 20 is height of player (irrelevant for music but required if you want to use the media player options)
o) yes or no is autostart on or off
o) fileden because it lets you directly link a file, which is needed for the media player

Does anybody find the image in the feed is huge...takes up my whole screen. And the link in the feed goes to the talkshoe page and not here (www.katg.com)?
