I entirely agree. The whole seperate platforms thing feels antiquated, especially when they're basically PCs! I think this is the last traditional generation but I'm sure they'll still try to gate it off when we're using digital distribution services.

I'm hoping that releases like Final Fantasy 13 on the Xbox 360 will make developers realize that by breaking the separation of console systems they can sell their game to an entire other demographic of gamers.

Just beat Bioshock 2. Gonna play through it again to get the rest of the trophies and to attempt the "bad" ending.

Some thoughts.
SPOILERS:

I enjoyed the game, especially near the end when you finally get to Eleanor Lamb and you get to control and see Rapture through the eyes of a Little Sister. It was too awesome. Very Silent Hill-ish.

I think it was both a sign of the times and an interesting step in the right direction, here's hoping some publishers take note.

I can already figure that i will play it again, but (as in the first one) i cant picture myself killing the little sisters.

I just noticed how, when you pick the li'l bugger up and go around killing some splicers, she cracks the most sweet comments.

"Daddy is going to make you see little birds, now!!
"Look at her dance, daddy! look!"
And the almighty "Yay, Marshmallows!" when you set them on fire...


It's like having a tiny evil sidekick. I love adopting them (Even if that means dealing woth the other daddies or, worse, those freaking scary shrieking demons called the big sisters)

Mass effect 1 and Bioshock 1 both had a year waitingtime until they came to the pc. ME2 and Bio2 ,not so much...

I really hope this means that they realize that wider access to your game means more sale.

Bioshock came out on the same day, you're probably thinking of the PS3 version.

Mirrors Edge was very quick but enjoyable - although I wasn't very good at stringing together all the moves as fluidly as I saw others do.

Finally started Gears of War 2 last week and I'm really enjoying it like I knew I would. I know I'm 2 years behind but it's been in my backlog of games to get through and I've been only playing one game at a time form start to finish so I don't get stories mixed up and such.
