Recently beat the game, and am just now doing those side missions. Tonberries and Cactuars are indeed in this game, and thankfully, they resemble the "traditional" Tonberries and Cactuars that we all know and love.
Unfortunately, I have yet to see a Moogle or a Marlboro :/
I beat the game, did all the side missions, etc. Moogle is only referenced in one of the item stores (with a picture of them) and Marlboro was only referenced as a staff for Vanille. I was sad that they didn't have actual characters for them as well, but oh well. The marlboro staff increases success of debilitating effects, so that's kind of along the same vein... I 5-starred all the missions, and just need to go back and 5-star the last boss to unlock lightning's theme (for PS3) at some point. I can't justify grinding the adamantortoises and such to unlock Fang's theme (get every item). If I want to grind mobs, I'll play an MMO, thanks.

I thought the game was decent and really opened up in chapter 11, but Penny Arcade called it by saying the first ~30 hours are basically a tutorial, which will prevent most people from enjoying the end game portion which is actually pretty solid. Too little too late, sadly.

I've been playing Halo 3: ODST recently. I passed on it when it was 60 dollars, not worth that kind of money, but now at 30 dollars I got the game, and the maps that came with it for Halo 3 and I can get into the Halo Reach beta.

I revisited GTA4 and beat it a second time (with the speed completion achievement in mind)

Its incredible how much more I enjoyed this game second play-through. I really didn't appreciate its glory and its genius game design craftsmanship first time through. Plus I traded my hard copy disc in and purchased the Digital version, hence no more getting up to change discs, and it runs faster. <3 Digital media future.

Now my mission is to 100% the game and get every single player achievement.

I'm also playing "Pokers & Swords" on my iphone during my commute. Its pretty cool, kind of derivative of "Puzzle Quest" but with a clever poker twist on that format. Try the lite version out.

I can't even express my love for that game. Easily my favorite game world ever.

Just wanted to post the multiplayer games I currently play in case anyone wanted to play sometime.

PC: COD:MW2, BF:BC2, TF2, L4D2, Borderlands (With Knoxx expansion)

360: Splinter Cell:Conviction, Halo:ODST (for Halo:Reach beta)

PS3: Uncharted 2 (With Siege expansion)

I've been going through the ODST campaign to get used to FPS on the Xbox again, while taking breaks to play Borderlands and Splinter Cell when the mood strikes. With school and work, I'm usually on sporadically during the week, but I try to make time to play on the weekends. Feel free to add me if you like.

I'll play Uncharted witcha, and I'll get the DLC when that's out to prove how much I love and want to play with you.

You add me though, because I'm very unreliable and a dick.

That reminded me to add that I have the Siege expansion for Uncharted 2. It came out on the 24th I think. Something like that, but it's out now.

There's a fairly ridiculous deal on Steam right now for Rockstar games. All of them for $42.49, including ALL the GTA games and expansions as well as Bully, both Max Payne games and a few other minor games. Considering the Liberty City expansion is $29.99 by itself, this is a great deal if you have been looking for a reason to try out the newer GTA or any others. Check it out!

I play WoW pretty consistently, so that's always in the background.

Right now I've got Darksiders on Gamefly, just about done with that. It was fun for a bit but kinda of dragging at the end.

I'm also playing the Starcraft 2 beta pretty extensively. I'm Kultcher.kultcher on there if anyone ever wants to play a game. (If you don't know, if you preorder from Gamestop or Amazon you get a free Beta key within a day or so).

I bid my Wii farewell last night - I just don't use it and now that there has been a $100 price drop here in Australia, I quickly traded it in to get the most for it towards a PS3.

I got a 250GB with Play TV and will be borrowing a bunch of games off friends this weekend; Batman Arkham Asylum, Uncharted 2, and whatever else is laying around.

Although I enjoyed the Wii, the enjoyment didn't go far and I felt more obligated to finish games for the sake of finishing them rather than enjoying them. Now, I have a blu-ray player to make use of my HD projector, HD TV with recording and a waffle maker.
