I now know why modern military movies spend a lot more money on training actors and hiring active and retired servicemen to help make the movie. It's distracting and ruins the illusion. The fact the "sniper" was using an AK47... just made me take the whole scene less serious. A few scenes of bad trigger discipline..

Other then the small errors, still entertaining.

The last flick I watched was "Step Up 2: In the Streets". I liked it, especially when the chick was dancing in the rain.

The Reader 5/5
Powerful and moving. A serious contender for best picture, but after seeing Ben Button I don't think it can overtake.

Gran Torino.

Schnek (screenwriter) & Eastwood got a kick out of the heavy use of slurs. I think it resembled my father in a way, a bigot who hates blacks & asians.

Valkyrie. A lot of insignificant trying-too-hard-to-be-artsy-and-meaningful scenes. The parts that were slow were too slow, and the parts where there were action moved kind of fast. Maybe I'm just being bitchy, but yeah.

Also I re-watched Oldboy last night...so good...
