For the past week or two, whenever Stanhope was mentioned on the show
I thought "...they've got to be kidding me, he's not funny"
and hearing that Keith loves him, and all these guests and Chemda praise him
and I'm thinking
HE'S FUCKING RETARDED! HOW CAN YOU ENJOY HIM?
and then this thread...and I'm like
okay...I'm gonna youtube this guy...I don't remember him being
at all that entertaining...

I was confusing him all this time with Jeff Dunham.

I'd be interested to hear Stanhope on the show again. Having heard him on 145, I'm still not sure if he'd make a good guest or not. I seem to remember thinking that he probably didn't realize that this wasn't a typical drive-time morning zoo when he was being interviewed last time. Also, I'd be interested to hear how Keith and Chemda interact with him now that they've gotten more popular, and have a lot more experience.

I'm always conflicted when it comes to comedian i already enjoyed before discovering KATG guesting on the show.

KATG has a very peculiar chemistry and atmosphere to it. Keith and Chemda are amazing interviewers but they're not afraid to push the guest's buttons if they feel like it. I thought Maron would be a disaster, it worked very well instead (Maybe because he's way more easygoing than he seems at first sight). I love Joe De Rosa on other shows and i still think he wasnt a good guest.

According to interviews and how he acts with his fans, Doug is a very nice and friendly guy, but he's very cynical and VERY jaded. Could work but a lot of listeners would hate him.

A guy that would NEVER work as a guest is David Cross. I'm sure about that.

That is a great story. I was talking about the fact that Doug is coming to new york soon. Keith and Chemda even have tickets. I just find it odd that he isn't on the show.
