This is Erin from minute 58-ish of CHU & A episode 127. Newsy said to write in and say how I'm doing. Hey everyone! I always laugh (and cringe) whenever I hear old emails from my teenage self, whether on CHU & A or re-listening to old shows on my own. I started listening in 8th grade, more than half my lifetime ago, and now I'm 32 years old. I've kept listening this whole time even though I was roasted several times on the show as a teenager. I've never missed an episode!

I had a great coaching session with Keith and Chemda a few months ago. I'm doing okay! I've grown since then and explored why I was preoccupied by drugs and suicide as a teenager. I really did fancy myself a misunderstood *~old soul~*. That's cringey now. I have a better relationship with my parents now, or at least I've come to understand why they valued academic achievement so much. I have benefited from those values and have a great career as a psychotherapist. I'm still working on how to have the best relationship with them that I can. Much of my success can be attributed to my parents, but also to Keith and Chemda.

Ditto, I'm a dev and trying to support my fellow devs.

I'll probably just end up sticking to the desktop version in the coming months.

edit: But I do enjoy seeing the differences between the KATG reddit posts and this forum.

It was very interesting to hear Chemda seriously and carefully explore with Kevin Allison where his interest in young men comes with so recently, and then it just so happens shortly after that Newsy re-caped a Margo's episode where she had pretty funny responses to why she dates younger. Chemda and Keith are right that it helps a great deal when they are open and honest about younger people not being as mature being a real thing instead of trying to act like there is no emotional/intellectual difference from younger ages. It's still a feeling of this isn't great long term and we all know why, but at least you're not scummy and predatory.
