Not quite sure why the OP was so down on powerlifting though.
I think the criticism is PLers train to wobble up to the rack, do 1rm (probably in heavy gear) and wobble back out of breath.

There was also a TNation article about it from a former PLer about how he got so focused on 1rm that he became completely deconditioned and could barely walk up a flight of stairs, but I can't find it right now.

In othernews, my housemate/renter is being a total douche nozzle because I told him I'm leaving at the end of the month, so he thinks he has no incentive to be nice. It's really difficult to restrain myself when I know I can bash his face into a pulp in front of his gf, and he couldn't do anything to stop it even if he knew it was coming.

I'll just put sugar in the radiators before I leave.

Was supposed to do deadlift 315lbs 1x5 today, but only did two reps. This beats my previous personal record of one rep, but hurt my mentality greatly to only do 2 reps. What hurts even more is that am pretty sure I quit out of fear of injury, and not because I was incapable. I'm pretty sure I could have only done one more anyway, but it hurts to know that I quit before I failed. I'll have to live with that for the next 5 days until I deadlift again.

Question: I was squatting in the squat rack and was approached by 3 separate people asking me how many sets I had left. I said I was going to be a very long time, and offered to let them work in and asked what exercise they wanted to do. All 3 of them wanted to curl. Are they assholes? Is there a legitimate reason to be curling in the squat rack?

other forum's consensus is they're assholes. But 90% of squat rack use is for curling.

No, pretty standard. If rowing pendlay you can do it outside the rack like deadlifts. But pressing pretty much needs a rack, unless you wanna clean it.

I even bench in the power cage because letting people curl isn't worth me potentially killing myself using a bench station without safety bars. Probably a borderline dick move though.

Went clothes shopping for the first time since losing 35lbs. What a joyous day. Bought one slim fitting shirt. It felt amazing. It will certainly be the first of many. Buying pants however can be a chore because apparently clothing designers do not account for men with muscles in their legs.

One of my friend's friends who is an aspiring bodybuilder said that even though he is a 32" waist, he has to by 38" pants and have them altered to so that he has room for his quads

Yeah, I saw the fb post.

Lucky (or not?)

Slim fit is great on my torso, but it didn't fit my shoulders T-shirts are ok though since they stretch. Lacoste and Polo polos fit well (sadly they run like 80+ per shirt, so they fucking break bank). Sadly the store brands seem to be tailored for beer guts and look like drapes on me.

As far as pants, the loosest style fits me at 32 waist. 559/569 Levis, one style at BR, and Diesel has one style too.

Shorts seem to all fit fine though, so I think when summer rolls around I'll just have to wear shorts and wifebeaters to work. Maybe with a suit jacket it'll look like socially acceptable hipster bus cas.

I can see why the A&F models are all naked, they wouldn't fit in any of their fucking clothes.

Intermittent fasting are we?

The past three days I've been eating my favorite dish, which is 2 pounds of cottage cheese, 1 apple (diced), 7 large strawberries diced, 4 cups of cornflakes.

That quote about A&F is epic.

Still IFing, just not dieting.

I might try that dish. Mad carb, but it's what I need on workout days. Can cottage cheese be replaced by greek yogurt? I can spoon eat a bowl of that stuff, not cottage cheese tho.
