Making it official: I'm going on another cut. I'm back at 186lbs, though I still fit into 32s and up to 25 pull-ups now.

Gonna go back to my old diet plan, but only fencing and no lifting. Re-evaluate after 10 lbs.

I am tired of being sad about being overweight. I've re-started a hundred times and this is enough. The biggest wake-up call for me was the fact that I joined Weight Watchers in late May, then stopped going around mid July after losing 10 lbs and getting over confident. Well, I went back yesterday, and the two girls I remember who joined the same day I did have both lost 35 lbs each and I am back to my starting weight. Womp womp.

That could have been ME who was down 35 pounds, but instead I spent the summer eating garbage, skipping the gym and completely ignoring my trainer and my scale.

NO MORE. Yesterday was my new start. I feel like I'm too fat to run, but fuck it I'm going to do it anyways. Gonna start kicking my ass into gear and feel better about myself!
Welcome, I have had amazing success with Weight Watchers. The one thing that helped me were the meetings. I had to go to the meetings. Also, you MUST track, every day...tracking is essential.

Is that 6 patty birger photoshopped or real? I don't think they sell that monster in Montreal. We have other delights like fries covered with gravy all dressed (pizza toppings with the fries gravy base. Great for the heart...wonderful.

down 3 pounds this week. Not running as often because of my heel but walking 3.5 k 4-5 days a week and running 2 .5 k 3 times a week

You have to build them yourself from smaller burgers. The point being less refined carbs.

Precisely. The meat is really the only thing worth eating. You simply save one patty for flavor's sake. And that monstrosity only cost $3 (plus tax). At 20g protein per dollar, that's a deal that can't be beat.

I pass a McD's on my way home from fencing. My standard meal is 3 $1 McChicken sandwiches converted into 1 triple. Haven't tracked since I started eating these, so I don't know the macros (It's probably not that great considering chicken is fairly low density), but I know it's about 20 deliciousness.

It isn't healthy meat...it is way processed, loaded with fillers, laden in salts and fats. It will make you sick and eventually fat. Today you can eat that way because you are young and your body is efficient. That grace period ends around 25 and then it all catches up to you. You can't throw away sensible eating because you digest fats quickly. Add healthy fats to your meals, not this processed crap filled with saturated fats. When my son was little and we felt he wasn't plumping up enough we'd add all sorts of healthy fats to his food, flax seed and olive oils, high fat organic yogurts, avocados, you know...good stuff.

One day eating 6 McDonald's burgers will catch up to you in the form of clogged arteries, high blood pressure from all the sodium in your diet, irritable bowel, all sorts of stuff.

Ok, lecture over...just one more thing...

A CHEAP recipe for you who love the proteins and red meat
Buy a cut called a blade roast, In Montreal they are about 6$ CND per cut but our beef industry is run by the mafia and meat prices are nuts here. Blade roast is one of the cheaper cuts. You can either sear it whole in a pan or chop it into chunks and sear. Remove some of the fat but not all. Put the seared meat in your slow cooker with low sodium beef stock, 1 cup of red wine, 3 bay leaves, some tomato paste (tablespoon), garlic, oregano, chopped celery and half a packet of onion soup mix. Make sure there is enough liquid to cover the meat an NO MORE. then leave it for 6 hours. I thicken with bisto at the very end and add root veg an hour before it's finished but if you are watching your carbs just steam off you veggies like broccoli or cauliflower ...delicious dinner for 3-4 night for about 3 bucks a serving.

I'll share the recipe I used in Minnesota. I guess I'll call it The Protein Fuck You after keith's famous drink:

2lbs steak (whatever you can afford). Rub with sea salt and black pepper. Let sit on the counter. Squat, bench, deadlift, shower. Whiskey shot. Heat up a cast iron skillet for 5-10 minutes, open all the windows in the apartment. Whiskey shot. Put a packet of frozen string beans in the microwave. Sear the steak rare 2 minutes on each side, then sear the edges. Sear the string beans in steak residue. Add butter to everything. Pour a mug of Samuel Smith Imperial Stout. Whiskey shot.

Consume.

Desert: down a 60g protein shake.
