Im very impressed with ODST. Started the campaign on Heroic (solo) and its intense and challenging in a fun way.
Firefight will be the death of me and my free time. Played a solo match on easy AWESOME!! played a 4 player co-op on Normal and even more awesome. IMO, worth 60 bucks. |

I've been playing ODST and NHL10 I'm enjoying both. However did anyone pre order ODST and not get the code to unlock Johnson for firefight? They told me when I picked mine up that they didn't have anymore. I picked it up yesterday, I know that it's two days after the release date, but I wouldn't have pre ordered it if I didn't think I was getting the code.

Recently played the single player of COD4 because I'd only seen it played by someone else before. When I say 'played' I mean 'finished' because it's about five minutes long.
I liked it fine but it's really just a very old fashioned FPS with new/current technology sprinkled on top. I think the most annoying thing about it was realising that I wasn't trying to defeat my enemies but trying to get past the checkpoints that stop them from infinitely spawning out of a tiny shed. Having said that, it did have some nice surprises and I liked how pretty much every mission is about them screwing up.

When i played it, i was floored by it. It wasnt the technology, or the innovative gameplay. What puts COD4 on a level different than the others is the dramatic power of some sequences. I think i've never felt torn apart like after that damn nuke scene.

Yeah, those are the surprises I'm talking about - they're shocking and well executed (if barely interactive) but the game around them is pretty straight forward.

i agree completely. I would be playing that if my xbox hadn't red ringed half way through the game, so now I'm playing GTA san andreas on my ps2 until microsoft sends me a new xbox

I also recently replayed through the single player COD4 campaign. If you really want a testament to how awesome the single player in that game is, attempt to play the WaW campaign, which is absolute garbage in comparison. I agree about the infinite enemy respawns, though. That's the only reason I haven't beaten the game on Veteran. They've already confirmed they've gotten rid of that for MW2, so... great. I just hope there's another mission where a nuke goes off and your character dies. Awesome!
