Keith do any of your siblings have friends in your hometown that they still talk to/visit/care about? Or did everyone run away as fast as possible in order to become real people.

But also I wouldn’t want to live in the US.
I like a lot about your country, but :

Gun violence
Crazy religious people
Health insurance problems
The two party system
Super expensive colleges that still are no guaranty for a job

Are things I luckily don’t have to live with here.
