Eminem's Recovery
Eminem's newest album, Recovery has leaked. I just finished listening to it, and I have to say, I am incredibly pleased with it. This is without a doubt his best album since Eminem Show, and personally, I think I like it even more than ES. With Relapse being such a let down, I was really worried that Eminem had possibly lost his touch, but I had faith in him and decided to wait a while longer, all the songs he's been featured in lately have him spitting insane raps, so I hoped that was a sign that Recovery would at least be a good come back.
IT'S FUCKING GOLD. Also has some epic samples, including Black Sabbath's "Changes" and "Cry Little Sister" from Lost Boys and has a few guests on the album. Every song has some great rapping, the only times the album isn't absolutely amazing, is when some beats just aren't as good as others. But it is a great album, I was wondering if any of you here are also fans and have listened to the album...what your thoughts are. |

I'll torrent it (I know, I'm gonna do the world a big favor by pirating shit), but I haven't listened to anything since Encore. I have to say, I think Slim Shady LP was his best album. And I'm not just saying that because "it's the original", I've actually listened to Infinite and the SS EP.

The Slim Shady LP is really good. I myself prefer Marshal Mathers LP. But to each his own, and I can definitely see SS being someone's favorite, MM just happens to be mine.
Encore was mostly a joke album. Relapse was mesh of decent tracks and utter garbage....but man, this is some GREAT stuff. |

Yeah i though Slim Shady LP was his best, infinite coming in a close second. Marshal mathers was fire too, but steadily went downhill from there. Shows what fame can do to your motivation. You got a download link?

Guys, what's the point for your haterade, again?
I'm not an Eminem fan, and Sabbath happen to be my all time favourite band (actually my favourite genre gravitates around Sabbath), but what's the problem if he uses samples? I always thought that hip-hop and rock are two genres that mix very well together (and i'm not talking about Kid Rock or Limp Bizkit. I'm talking about old school crossover.). And while i think that Mathers is way overrated as an artist, Dre's definitely a great sound worker. If you hate hip hop, then skip the thread. You're looking like those silly metalheads that make me give up on the community while still loving the music because they were more focused on shitting on others than enjoying the art. |
