Eat pan ou chocolate (or however you spell it) it's just french bread and chocolate, but it's the best thing that crap country has to offer. Bread will never taste better than it does when you're in Paris.

Take some time to wander around Montmartre for me that was the prettiest part of the city and the views from Sacre Coeur down on Paris are amazing

If you have time to make it out to Versailles (which I really recommend) take your time in the gardens as they are pretty spectacular and especially the "Hameau de la reine" near the Petit Trianon is really cute and basically the first Disneyland:

"The hameau, a small and rustic ersatz farm meant to evoke a peasant village in Normandy, was built on the far side of a landscaped pond the hamlet was complete with farmhouse, dairy, and mill. Here, it was said, the Queen and her attendants would dress as shepherdesses and milkmaids. Particularly docile, hand-picked cows would be cleaned. If possible, your first views of the Eiffel Tower MUST be from the Trocadero metro stop. A photographer told me this a few years ago before I went and he was absolutely right. If in anyway have the ability to do it this way, DO IT.

What someone said above about going to the top of the Arc de Triomphe is also a great idea. Some of the best views there. Going up the Eiffel Tower is cliche but amazing as stated.

I found the Musee d'Orsay much more interesting than stuff in the Louvre, but enjoyed both.

Paris is probably up there as my favorite city in the world. If only they'd get rid of the American-hating people in the city, I'd want to live there.

x100. My ex and I got caught far away from the hotel and had an absolute bitch of a time getting back to the hotel since the Metro had stopped running. Really put a damper on things that night.
