Over the weekend I beat LoZ:Link Between Worlds and downloaded the Ace Attorney Trilogy to my 3DS (not the NEW one because fuck nintendo for not giving NA the faceplate option). But haven't had much time for games this week.
Been playing FFT: Curtain Call before bed sometimes

Bout to buy the season pass for Telltale's Game of Thrones (i think episode 2 and 3 are out now) and episode two for Life is Strange is out so that's my weekend. I also played Grim Fandago for the first time a few weeks ago so I might try to get back into that or just play Super Motherlode/Spelunky/Nuclear Throne for like 18 hours.

Oh yeah, my steam name is apparentlymarylee, feel free to add me
(psn: apparentlymary Xbox: boozybaker)

I beat Last of Us last week.
It was a predictable ending. Not bad, just predictable.

More importantly, I sucked so much the first time, it made me want to play again.

I'm a tough sell on replaying single player campaigns.

Started La-Mulana which is the game that "inspired" the guy who created Spelunky. I, uh, I may have a problem.

I looked up Spelunky on youtube. Looks like fun. Caves and spiders and a dog? What system is it on?

Reminded me of Metroid.

Its a roguelike (or a rogue?). The boards always spawn differently every play through. Its on Xbox, ps4, and steam. I am highly addicted. Think I'm up to 240 hours on the steam version alone. Its a thing.

it's lovely like Dust and Child of Light mixed together and it's challenging like Super Meat Boy (but not as insane). Lots of hidden things to find which you need to unlock skills and once you unlock certain skills (double jump, breathe under water, etc.) you're able to reach new areas on the same "maps" to find more hidden things.

It's pretty dope.

In other news I'm pissed Uncharted got pushed back a year. Got a refund but id rather have gotten a refund on The Order and waited for Uncharted. Womp womp.
I just started Ori and the Blind Forest yesterday (I bought like 12 games from the Steam summer sale, so I'll be busy with them awhile). Beautiful graphics, and the gameplay is just the right amount of difficulty for a casual night of gaming. I've heard the gameplay is similar to Metroid, which I can definitely see.

I'm also playing this Earthbound-like game called "Lisa", about a man in the future trying to save his adoptive daughter in a world where there's no women left on earth. It's got a very wry sense of humour which I'm enjoying.

I also started playing some party games at my friend's place on Friday nights. We played these arena brawlers called Towerfall Ascension and Duck Game, both are a TON of fun, and we throw in the Spelunky versus mode sometimes too.

Oh yeah, my steam ID is http://steamcommunity.com/id/lord_shmoo if anyone wants to add me.

Did you guys check out the E3 conference? All the announcements and such? I am pretty fucking stoked for all the stuff coming to the 3DS next year.
Bravely Default 2, Fire Emblem IF and other stuffs.

Last game I beat was Pokemon ORAS and I gotta say Gen3 was kinda...stupid. It was really short and the Bad Guy Teams were the dumbest of all of them. AND the gym leaders were the WORST. 7th gym in the entire league uses 2 pokes? Gtfo.

I'm really looking forward to BD2. Still going through all the stuff from E3; at a snails pace.

I'm on PSN4: davidleeIbe
(It's an capital 'i' between 'lee' & 'be' FYI)

I have a bunch of games, but I mostly play Diablo3:RoS
Trying to gather crafting mats for the upcoming big content patch 2.3

Feel free to join me (if my game is open) I have a mic but don't use it all the time b/c me and the gf live in a studio apartment where she likes to sleep w/out me talking shit on PSN.

Satoru Iwata, CEO of Nintendo, died yesterday

Remembering the rare talent of Nintendo president Satoru Iwata | The Verge

I think this article definitely does the best out of all the ones I've read of really showing what a great guy Iwata was.

He wasn't just a business man put in charge of a video game division of a larger company. He was a genius programmer, a game designer and a game player.

Even as I became a jaded 20-something and thought Nintendo "was just making games for kids" Iwata's sincerity and desire to make great games broke through to me.
This sucks and I'll miss him
