The main part of the ice age that wil kill people will only last a few weeks then it will just be arctic cold, But we will still be able to prosper and the last ice age did rebuild the atmosphere. The earth never moved on its orbit furthe or closer or tiped. I dont know were you got that info. Your thinking to much along the lines of Irobot. You gotta find what will realistically happen. Robots wont chose to kill off man when there supposed to protect us. Like I said before robots wont kill for any gain seeing that they need nothing and have nothing to gain. Robts will only do something wierd if there is a bug or malfunction in the programing. And even then it will be like a slight wobble in the walking or just talking wierd. Have you ever seen a respected computer program malfunction and make a virus. NO. Same with robots they wont malfunction and decide to take over the world and if they do then it will be one robot that decides to, but the rest won't malfunction like one does.

The earth has 2 confirmed wobbles on it's axis, a 3rd is possible, the earth's axial tilt is off vertical, it's a slow rotation about the z axis, the earth's orbit around the sun changes too over time, the ice age IS A FUCKING ICE AGE and the ARCTIC WINTER is something that the human population could not survive in any numbers greater than those who live there now. For a supposed scientist you like to bullshit as much as possible. Get onto your computer and research global climate, ice ages and human population figures.

Hey I'm not a scientist. I believe what your saying. I'm a Robotic Physicist. I dont study up much on the climate but what I'm talking about is the ice age being a restabilization of the earths atmosphere wich doesnt have much to do with a wobble, but more on the pollution in our atmosphere that causes the polar ice caps to melt inturn dumping fresh water into the North Atlantic cuurent wch has alot to deal with the tropical areas wich again messes with all the climates.

So what you dont understand is that the robots wont kill humans because of our pollution and so forth because they are smart and Know what will happen (Hint: Ice age & north atlantic current) also they will know we have an economy and that we cant change the way we pollute in just the snap of a finger.

So a "Robotic Physicist" isn't a scientist? And I thought you worked for the NSA on AI, your code if faulty MR ROBOTO!!!

what the fuck? the last ice age had to do with the carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, there wasnt pollution back then. and what the hell does that have to do with anything? we still have a long bout of global warming before the levels change enough to snap back into a cold spell....why would a robot give a fuck?

and youre right, robots probably wont wipe us from the face of the earth. im sure there will be zoos, and wildlife refuges, maybe even some free range humans, as long as we dont interrupt the flow of things. but when they surpass us in ability and intelligence and number, we cease to be the alpha inhabitant. sure, humans co-exist with most non-dangerous animals, unless they are in the way of 'progress'. considering the exponential rate of acceleration in AI is the same for the development of AI, humans will be obsolete and a hinderence to their progress in very short order. what is it, every 18 months already, all the accumulated knowledge man has in total, doubles. i bet robots will do it faster.

why do you think robots with AI, essentially, life without the confines of genes, will allow themselves to be enslaved?

why do you think the faster, smarter, hardier, more adaptable, better communicating majority would halt their own progress to help some slower stupider species along, much less keep them in charge? modern humans didnt exactly help out cromagnons or neanderthals, as a matter of fact, that behavior has never been seen in nature, why do you think it would suddenly happen now?

you, sir, need to think long and hard, do some research, and reconsider your views, they are arrogant and foolish, not to mention potentially dangerous.

READ VERY CAREFULLY

A robotic physicist isnt a atmospheric specialist. duh. I work for NASA not he NSA. ALso I specialize with AI and do you think we are stupid enough to make robots smarter than us.

Next off I was talking about the imabalance in the atmosphere the only time I brought up pollution is when I was talking about the next Ice Age. duh again.

Why don't you idiots read my posts fully.

And spooky I believe you shuld change your views. Your basiclly making stuff up and talking about what you think will happen not wht is most likely going to happen. Robots will most likely not be smarter than us and you idiots dont understand that to kill any electronic device you only have to create enough interferance I.E. static electricity or magnetic fields. What they left out of the science fiction movies is exactly that. A robot will have metal so a magnetic field will pull them right to the magnet. duh duh again

In my opinion you all need to reconsider your stupid ignorant views of robots taking over the world.

READ EVEN MORE VERY CAREFULLY

my buddy, paul hudson is an engineer for NASA. you know him? hes a HUAR supporter. in less than thirty years time, we will have the equivilent of a human brain at our disposal. what happens 30 years after that? you cant see past the singularity, but you can look at evolution and behavorial science for answers as to how things will most likely work out. humans will not be able to keep up once AI and robots get rolling.

personally, i think there will be a way to merge or upload human minds into machines, thus negating the need for disposal of humanity. but thats a best case scenario, one that presupposes no errant memes (wouldnt that be what programming is called, post AI?) become established amongst the robots, leading them to the quite possible determination of extermination of humans. either way, people, at least in current form, not willing to tinker and improve our own genome, are doomed.

what am i making up? i can give you sources for every nuance of my thought process on the matter....

you think a hundred thousand years from now, we still will have never made a single robot capable of being smarter than us? seriously? youre calling people idoits, and you believe this?

you know how they make shielded speakers to set on top of your TV? you know not all metals are ferrous, right? you realize the size and power needed for an electromagnet powerful enought to even pick up a robot by what few ferrous metal parts are necessary to construct it? not exactly a reassurance for containment, not exactly something that would be ubiquitous, either.
