close female relatives and friends, and gay friends. I think that sums it up. It's only weird if you make it weird. I remember what must have been the first time I kissed a guy on the cheek goodbye, and it was natural, but then a second afterward, I was like "did I just kiss him goodbye?" then, i shrugged it off and went on my way.

I have no problem with you doing that to me. Its when my old aunts and friends of relatives all kiss me goodbye and expect me to smooch one on them. In fact I don't even care if they kiss me on the cheek, just don't expect me to do it too

I hate that, especially when they throw in the ass grab. That is just wrong.

Depends on what country I'm in. Most of my family lives in Mexico, and there it's customed to shake hands then air kiss the cheek once. Other than that, no thanks. Physical contact makes me a little uncomfortable.

I've always air-kissed once on the cheek and hugged my female relatives. That's what we grew up doing and I have no qualms with it.
Since I'm married to a Spanish woman I have to do the whole one kiss on each cheek for the females (even NON-relatives that you're just introduced to and seen some gross std-man kiss her cheek before you). Its confusing because then when I go to kiss my non-Spanish family and friends I have to focus to not do the double air-kiss. |
