Well it's free, leveling rates are amplified (the private server I play on has two different realms, 10x and 3x. I play 10x and I think it's great). There's also a different realm that is just for PvP. You make a character and it's automatically 80 with full blues, you trade in BG marks for gold, and there's a shit load of vendors around where you can buy all pvp equipment, enchants and gems with the money you get from PvPing.

There's a lot of negatives though. A lot of mechanics are broken. I know arcane mages are entirely broken. I've heard hunter and warlock pets are broken. Most " scripted events" in the game are broken (I tried to do ZF but couldn't kill any boss other than the basilisk boss). Vehicles are broken, so that means Strand of the Ancients is disabled. For some reason no mob does anything other than melee attack either.

Oh well, I just want to level up and kill shit. The server I play on is the #1 ranked private server so there is a lot of people I can do 5mans and endgame. And if it's the #1 server I imagine every other server is much worse off. I recommend it, if only to save money and satisfy bloodthirst.
