Yeah, I read some really great things on the K31's. They are supposed to be really well made and fine shooters. I think the straight pull aspect is pretty cool.

The kind that takes months, not minutes, like Keith said in Monday's episode about Tennessee. That, and my county only offers a "sportsman" license, so unless you're on your way to/from a target range or hunting ground, they can't leave your house. I applied back in April. I probably won't get the permit itself before September.
I am just starting to dive into the requirements for my situation. Not as crazy as you, but since I live in another state then where the guns are it sounds like I will have to import them through a FFL dealer. Not sure on that though. I am going to contact the NRA to help me find a lawyer who is well versed in my states requirements. Good luck.

That's one of the issues here in New York. A lot of guns can be had cheaply online, but New York has rules about what can and can't be brought into the state. Magazines over 10 rounds are forbidden, for example. Doesn't really bother me, but it would suck if I found a gun I liked that came with a few 15 or 17 round magazines and then I couldn't legally have them, thus causing me extra cost to get the 10 round ones (since the transaction has to go through and FFL also).

When you buy a gun off of armlist or something you can have them get shipped to an FFL, without the magazines and source your 10 round magazines later..

a gun without a magazine will still function, you just need to manually load one in the chamber every time..

I understand both those points, but it would be a pain if the right mags were available at the time of the sale, but I had to look elsewhere for ones that New York would be okay with.

If I remember correctly too, doesn't New York require a 12lb trigger pull on their pistols also?

I heard of a ton of Glock people not being too happy about that because it's just more work for them to convert it back to the factory 5.5lb trigger connector.

But hey at least New York is still better then Illinois.

Basically any high populated state requires a 10 round limit anyways. California is the exact way.

Very nice XDM. I have the full XDM 9 and love that thing, great, smoother shooter!

My next purchase is going to be a Bursa Thunder 9.

I miss my Yugo SKS, that was a great rifle, but I had to sell it when I moved. The XDM is a great handgun.

Smoothest one I've shot was the .40 Baby Eagle. That was the absolute smoothest firing gun I've ever shot.
