Unless you have a PhD in particle physics, what you think the LHC will do has absolutely no value.

Did you guys hear that the website Reddit sent CERN a Crowbar with a note that said something along the lines of "Get this to Gordan Freeman, He'll know what to do"

Heard about it on a show The Rewind.

Also this Coast to Coast call they played for it is great:

Oh yeah. Today was the first 7 TeV run (that's terra electron-volts, or the energy required to move one electron's charge through a potential difference of 7 times 10 to the 12th power volts (recall, we get roughly 120 volts from a wall outlet)).

Zero universes will be destroyed. People really need to not be so superstitious.

I am not suprised about the opposition to the lhc after all the anti science movement is alive, and well just look at the vaccine debate that is going on in this country. People are so ungrateful to the hard work that scientists have accompolished although they don't mind all the breakthroughs both medically and technologically that makes their lives easier.

Irresponsible journalism is responsible for that, don't blame the people for believing what they read. Even some of your most recent posts demonstrate how susceptible people are to buying into the bullshit bad journalism produces.
