Regarding PC/Console/etc gamers - I wasn't sure the impression I was trying to give, but I fully believe that the PC provides more accurate and intelligent control. But the playing field on the PC is the same as the playing field on the console. Except that a console player will likely gain accuracy from going to a PC.

So I'm not sure where the original topic was going, but I full agree that a Console vs. PC with the same game, no matter how good the console player is, they would most likely lose out to the PC user.

For the gears/beyond good and evil/etc "user" - It always seems to me that there's an eletism that surrounds game players. It's as though Halo users are the mindless drones, whereas people who are really "in" with the gaming world pish posh games like Gears, Halo. I'm not saying that anyone here is one of those people, it seems like a lot of people write off games like Gears/Halo as destroying innovation and creativity in games. Appealing to the masses and shadowing games like Zack and Wiki, etc (mass critical appeal, poor public acceptance/sales)

Just because I'm a "gears" person doesn't mean I'm not a "Psychonauts" person or a "Beyond Good and Evil" person (disregarding the fact that I wasn't a fan of the game, btw ) - it just means, well fuck - I don't know what it means.

I guess we all like what we like, and ain't nothin' here going to change that.

Maybe we should just get back to what this thread is about, it's kinda turned south.

I'm playing Bioshock again

****Edit, your post above, velly fitting.

oh - and also, I was more referring to a prior RROD issue, saying that just because the 360 has some design issues doesn't absolve the PC from being faliable tis all.

Halo is central to the gaming marathons I go on. I thoroughly enjoy the giant technicolor space nonsense so I guess we're both unsure of what you're grasping at.

As in resumed from where you were or finished it and started again? I found myself saving in that game for the sole purpose of going back and trying to approach the same area in different ways.

I've mentioned before that I'm a serial game trader, and I've been tempted to buy BioShock again just to play through and develop my character completely differently.

It's absolutely worth it. Even with the same abilities you can do things differently. Bioshock's combat is weirdly underrated, I think a lot of people found one method that worked and stuck with it, then called the combat repetitive.

Idiots. As far as FPS games go, I think BioShock has the least repetitive combat that I've seen in years.

Yeah exactly, people had the same problem with Crysis, which also hugely varied.

I'm doing it from the start, harder difficulty, and finding it still makes me piss my pants.

There's one part where you look in something somewhere, before you get to the first "boss", and then as you turn around, there's a splicer just... standing there. Not doing anything, just STANDING there.

I fucking screamed like a girl. I'd forgotten about that before.

It was awesome

There's a few more achievements I plan on getting for this go-around. I want to try maxing out a some of the tracks, etc.

I STILL cannot bring myself to kill all the little sisters.

I'm a pussy, I know. It's a game, I know - but I just can't.

I will trade games in and then kick myself for selling them. Some I'll never get rid of are Bioshock, Mass Effect, Gears, CoD4 and The Orange Box.

I can't GIVE AWAY Assassin's creed, so that one will hang around for a bit. Nor can I give away Saint's Row, Kameo, Perfect Dark: Zero (which I bought for $5, not bad)

I'm debating on GTA IV... I bought the limited edition, but... I just don't know. I haven't touched it for months. Sigh. What to do, what to do.

That happened to me first time I played (in that cold room) but not when I was watching my friend play. He was about two inches away from my face, just staring, I jumped out of my skin.

God how I would love to be there when someone else is playing, at that precise moment, and just scream high pitched right behind their head.

You are just so focused and then

BANG!!

Creepy motherfucker is there.

I killed him REALLY good after that. Really good. Hell, I wanted to reload it and kill the sonofabitch again.

It's so weird switching FPS type games though, because all control so differently, I'm hitting the wrong buttons to do the wrong things. "B" never does what I want, other than shafting me full of first aid when I need to save that.

It's mildly embarassing.

I was quite surprised by Saint's Row. I got it free with my 360 so i was expecting a half ass GTA clone. I love the aiming in that game, it trumps all the GTA's (not including GTA 4.. which i haven't played).

Smoking a blunt then running down the street unloading my pistol still isn't lost on me.
