Which reminds me, Amanita Design (the developers) have Machinarium and Samorost 2 together in a pack with the soundtracks on sale for £6.00. An amazing price (Machinarium is £14.99 on it's own on steam) and, since you're buying it directly from them, they see most if not all your money.

The first Samorost is, of course, free.

Ya, I was expecting that. I was kind of hoping for the Mass effect speech model, though. And I like the attribute system but suspect the skill/talent system will annoy me a bit later on. Ido the vast majority of my gaming on my PC.

Finally beat God of War 1. It was a very good game, except for that last level, the Hades one. Climbing those spinning columns with spikes, and touching just one would knock you all the way down to the bottom.... I sure hope part 2 doesn't have crap like that in it.

Gonna take a break with PixelJunk Shooter before I dive into part 2.

I remember an interesting debate on that during a videogame podcast - the gist is that they were going for a different direction - you playing as your character, rather than you playing as a character. Having a voice thrust upon you would break that a bit. PC version > . as is usually the case.

I'm TRYing to play Bioshock, but nooooo, windows has to be a bitch about EVERYthing. Maybe one of you computer whizes could help me out? I got it installed right, I know that much, but when I open it, it just crashes. It says that it encountered a problem, and has to shut down. Doesn't tell me the fucking problem though.... I've googled it, but it didn't come up with anything that works.

God of War is so, so good...except for that Hades part yeah. I don't remember 2 having any of that, though I really hated fighting the centaurs. Also, some of the boss fights towards the end become a little bit much.
