I love Giant Bomb and I love the Bombcast. That Burnout Crash bit was hilarious.

Bad Company 2 and TF2 are kings of the multiplayer shooter genre for me. Halo is also quality gameplay, despite the bad reputation the gaggle of morons have given it.

I don't have any crazy good unknown shooters. But I don't see a compelling argument to not play Battlefield or TF2 when I want to play a shooter.

Try to tell me Brink is worth my time more than TF2 and Battlefield. I've seen how Brink plays, I don't know what you're getting pissy about. If I was going to drop that much money on a new shooter I'd buy Crysis 2, and if I wanted to buy something that looked about on par with Brink I'd buy Section 8: Prejudice because it's way cheaper. Or how about Killzone. Brink covers ground so close to the modern class-based iron-sights shooter that I really don't understand how BF and TF2 don't immediately strike you as superior products. I'd listen if somebody was saying that they were making a UT2004 style game again, but you want to sell me a decent class-based team-based shooter with iron-sights weapons with attachments and perks? Fuck off. For making fun of CoD, you sure are being a defensive little pecker about a game that sticks very, very close to the contemporary shooter archetype that CoD4 established. I haven't liked CoD since 4, but I'd rather play more of 4 than Brink.

Are you seriously trying to suggest in a douchey sarcastic manner that you have no idea what I'm talking about when I say there are much better shooters to play than Brink and a lot of them?

I really don't care if you play Brink, but I try not to judge games without actually playing them, except for in a very few circumstances (like with my hesitation on Portal 2, just because I had played the first one, and ultimately I did try it for myself), or if I just flat out don't like the genre.

Brink is the first shooter I've played where you actually HAVE to use teamwork to succeed. I really like that. There have been times in TF2 where my team has won and everyone rolled Heavy. You couldn't get away with that in Brink if you're playing against a group that at least somewhat has their whits about them. I won't say anything about the Battlefield series, because, unlike you, I've never played them and won't judge.

I grew out of straight DM and CTF style shooters in 2006.

And how exactly does it do this? Because you have a gun and point it at people on the other team and shoot them? Please explain.

No, I'm seriously trying to suggest that you're a pretty big fucking tool to judge things based solely on what are most likely reviews filled with the reviewer's personal bias, instead of developing your own opinion, be it by actually looking into the game's features or watching just clean gameplay footage. Not to mention the fact that you're pretty notorious for being an argument starting cock around here, so I knew I'd get something out of you and have a little fun.

It is fixed finally. Played a few matches last night and enjoyed it. I'm hoping to unlock the "light" body type soon so I can run around quicker. A lot like the Scout in TF2.

Not playing anything other than ~one game of HoN (Heroes of Newerth) and some TD games on my iPhone on the train at the moment cause uni is sucking my life away. I do however have a big pile of games lined up for winter break.

These include (all on PS3):

- Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
- Red Dead Redemption
- Mortal Kombat
- Heavy Rain

And finishing Portal 2 and Dragon Age 2 on PC. Man it felt good today to go pick up MK from the post office.

Haha, Platinum faggot tried to proxy cannon rush me on Xel Naga Caverns. Stupid fucker tried to immediately hide his probe in my base (unsuccessful of course) and warped in cannons on the low ground right up against my base anyway, despite my depot/barracks wall. Went to 3 rax, made a few bunkers and dumb asshole couldn't break me despite sending wave after wave of stalker/dt. Then I just dropped 2 vacs full of marines in his main and he didn't even gg. After the match I tried to chat with him:

"Shittyladderfag has connected
Me: cheesasaurus rex is a failasaurus rex
Shittyladderfag has disconnected"

I didn't even get points for him being favoured in the match. He was evenly matched with me, despite me being in Gold and him in Platinum. I guess you can cheese your way up the ladder, but the game knows you don't belong there.
