Replaying Beyond Good And Evil.
Wow. This game was so goddamn good. The graphics and mood of the story were so simple and charming, with this humorous yet sweet sci-fi fairytale look... But it looked and still looks so good. But mostly it's a FUN game. As many have complained, it's very stealth heavy, but it's well done stealth, so it doesnt bother me. And the whole miscellanous elements (object finding, photo hunt, arcade style fighting and so on) works beautifully. It's one of those games where the years have been kind and still makes modern games look bad in terms of pure joyful fun. Lovely, even if it needs a lot of rough handling to get properly started under W7.

Sniper Elite is on sale for £2/$2/Yurps2 on steam. Not a great game by any measure but unusual enough to be worth a try.

If you're starved for inspiration, the always reliable PC Gamer Top 100 is well worth a read. This list, although made for netbooks, is useful too. Obviously, check the specs before you buy anything. The important stuff being: OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Processor: Intel Core2Duo CPU T6400 @ 2.00GHz, 2000 Mhz, 2 Cores RAM: 2.00 GB Graphics card: Mobile Intel 45 Express Chipset Family (integrated)

because i made the mistake(?) of buying the peggle pack with Peggle Deluxe and Peggle Nights, and it's all I've really been doing. But, it was kind of a necessary purchase since I realized that I had played the demo for over 4 hours. long live PopCap. Plants vs Zombies is good too, but I have yet to buy a mouse for my laptop, and it's too hard to keep up with the on screen action with the trackpad. |

Plant Vs Zombies is awesome but doesnt have the addictive quality of peggle, at least for me. What's a popcap game that is equally compulsive as peggle? Zuma? Chuzzle? Bejeweled, Bookworm? |

Since I was finally able to pick up my preorder of Pokèmon Soul Silver and I have some time off, I can finally start playing that.
Im also playing some Age of Kings, and Diablo 2 on the side. 2 Great games, the first one especially that I remember playing fondly somewhat competitively 8 years ago or more. |
