Holy balls, the Black Mesa trailer out!
For the uninitiated, Black Mesa is a remake of the first Half Life using the loveliness of the Half Life 2 Source engine. Looks worth the wait. |

Valve did port Half Life 1 into source when Half Life 2 was released but they obviously didn't spend a lot of time redoing the textures and models to the extent that these guys did. I haven't played HL1 since it first came out and seeing a lot of the scenes from it has piqued my interest in playing through it again. What an amazing game that was/is - especially for its time, there was nothing else that immersed me into it that I can remember.
Except maybe Full Throttle - wish they hadn't dumped the sequel. |
