One of my favourite games, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl is on sale on steam - 75 off!

It's one of few games I'd recommend playing with a mod for the first play - Stalker Complete improves and visually upgrades the game, but stays true to the original experiance and Oblivion Lost is great for the second/third/nth playthrough (massive overhaul).

What's everyone playing?

Just beat Batman and now I'm waiting for the new Bioware RPG, Dragon Age: Origins, to come out on the third.

Onimusha 4 is more quick-level bitesized type of stuff, with some really overlylong parts with no combat. It's up and down, but the characters and weapons made it worth it for me.

Stalker Complete is a FANTASTIC addition to that game. I second the recommendation! Everyone should give Stalker a go.

I love how it improves everything without negatively impacting the original atmosphere. Did you ever play Oblivion Lost? It's harsh!

Borderlands.

Mostly to tide me over till MW2. Once you get past lvl 13, shit starts to get real fun. Not a truly excellent game, but certainly not bad either. Zero story but tons of crazy weapons.

The Witcher (which somehow is both the director's cut and the enhanced edition) is 50% off on steam, I hear good things about it from Western RPG fans.

I borrowed Wolverine and Assassin's Creed from work as I'd yet to finish them yet. No new feelings on either after finishing them - Wolverine is a surprisingly good if extremely derivative action game that thankfully has little to do with the movie and Assassin's Creed is a great engine without a game in it.

The ending of Assassin's Creed was very usual, not sure if I liked it or not.

Team Fortress 2 is ultra cheap for the next two hours, they're also having an event to celebrate Halloween.

I just clicked that link and got a special edition hat for free - SPECIAL HAT FOR FREE! I got Gibus.

If you don't buy it for this price, then I hate you and your stupid face.

its great to post about the game du jour, but what about making a more effective gaming clan?

itd be great to have another regular gaming group, time zones are a challenge tho...

at the very least maybe we can take advantage of the 4packs on steam for borderlands or l4d2...
