true, but if a player chooses to focus on stealth, hacking or other non-lethal approaches that favour subtlety, the boss battles are a big pain in the ass that really make no sense. even more since they are unavoidable or have very few approaches, in a gamer that everywhere else allows to approach anything in basically any possible way you can think of.

ive talked to different players and everyone had their own specific gameplay approach to the game, all possible and all different. which is simply great in an age where basically games grab you by the hair and force you through a path. Thats why those bosses are retarded. in general boss battles are unnecessary.

I might take offense to that. If by "the last one" you mean MW2, fuck you! If you mean Black Ops, eh. Black Ops is from Treyarch and Activision, Modern Warfare is from Infinity Ward. So, Black Ops is like the Battle of Los Angeles of the Call of Duty series. It just held us fans over until 11/8 when the time for pwning n00bz begins once again!!!! Muahahaha

I've never been a fan of Battlefield but I can't say much, as I've never owned a Battlefield game. It's always seemed like it was made for PC gamers, and I'm a console man. If I were to play an FPS on computer I would play America's Army because the quality is pretty badass for low price of FREE.
I digress, MW2 was the shit, and I was the shit when playing it. I guess I might have liked it so much because I was good at it. It got to the point that I could get MVP using just flashbangs and my knife. I got pretty fucking good at Black Ops where I could get MVP without using my primary weapon, but still not the level of pwnage I had in MW2.

Infinity Ward basically doesn't exist anymore. Every CoD game is a Treyarch game now.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is fast-paced console FPS action in a badass way, rather than in a spawn killing, unbalanced, camping sort of way.

I quit playing CoD games because staying inside buildings and ensuring that you exploited the random spawns produced better results than aggression and skill, and that's not what a fucking FPS is about.

I think the difference between the two games can be summed up like this: in Bad Company 2, when I am kicking fucking ass but my team is losing, I just kick ass all game until the screen tells me I lost. I'd rather win, but I still had fun. In MW2, when I am kicking fucking ass but my team is losing, I get a predator drone fired up my nose from some dickwipe that I killed three times already and who hasn't killed me once with his gun, but he killed eleventy billion of my asswipe teammates and now gets to kill me for free, too.

Fuck that.

add to that the so fulfilling way where the person who kills you in MW2 feels the need to scream "PWND NOOBFAG!!!111" and you get why that game is the symbol of everything wrong with modern war fps. Battlefield requires skills, MW2 was just filled with hormonal teens who needed to get back at their moms.
