I'd reccomend renting the first one, playing the bare minimum of content required to access the story missions, and blowing through the game in a weekend to get all the plot. The plot is pretty well done, and if you skip most of the optional content, the actual missions are still fun and you can beat it pretty quick. The optional content was bland and repetative though. They improved the optional content alot in the second one though, making it actually fun to do and stuff.

AC was very good game, it just dragged on too much in some sessions, but that made the quests more realistic.

I wasn't big on the first Assassin's Creed but they really seem to have fixed all the problems for the sequel.

Speaking of sequels, I'm loving Left 4 Dead 2, It's equal parts intense, satisfying and hilarious. I've finished all the campaigns except the last one - we got within five steps of the final rescue helicopter when a team of special infected absolutely demolished us.

CHEAP GAME TIME!

Direct 2 Drive have an awesome pack of Armed and Dangerous, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, LOOM and Lucidity on sale for $25!

I'm obsessed with Assassins Creed 2, something about the game that gives me a crazy urge to 100% it. I cant stop thinking about this game. I quit playing the first one in like 2 hours in but I fucking love the sequel.

I have an old MacBook Pro, but Urban Terror works well.

Urban Terror: News

Free FPS. Reminds me of my Unreal Tournament days.

I finally caved in and got Assassins Creed 2. Took you guys's recommendation and wiki'd the first one since I never played it, and knew nothing about the storyline.

So far I'm loving it. Just assassinated my first guy.
