If you like Civ 4, download the Rise of Mankind mod. It is fantastic... an improvement on almost every facet of the game. | |

Finally finished the Force Unleashed last night - really liked the story and the animation/graphics in the cinematics were top notch. I didn't get bored once playing the game, just a little frustrated trying to work out how to get the Star Destroyer down to start with. On to Dead Space and more GH4! |

I finished the Gears 2 campaign yesterday. I hate to say it, but I was pretty unimpressed with the campaign overall. I felt like Gears 1's campaign was tighter with a bigger emphasis on using cover effectively. Instead, in Gears 2, I was given a portion played entirely on the top of a moving vehicle on which I mostly spammed the troika, multiple portions featuring two dudes riding on fucking animals, and probably the worst tank section of any game ever. By time I made it across the second ice lake I was ready to put my controller through the tv. Maybe I just wan't clamoring for more variety in the levels like a lot of people were after the first game came out. I guess I kind of liked the dark, gray, cramped hallways and courtyards.
