The forums are a perfect place to come to with a broken heart.
Make sure that when you are drinking, you are no where near a phone. If you need to bring your phone to a bar - don't drink yourself stupid. Nothing worsens a hungover like realizing you sent a one sided confessional to your ex. Hang in there, rabbit. Find joy and comfort in your daughter, your family and the KATG community. xo |

Hi Rachel,
Break ups can be debilitating and take FOREVER to get over. THis will be the cheesiest thing I have ever posted on Katg, but like any muscle the heart is no different, those bitches take a long time to heal. I find these forums can really be a lot of fun, a great time waster. Come in to vent and wallow over the break up but also come in open to laughing, open to getting your mind off your troubles by bantering with the idiots like scumhook. Get mad in here, play the games...get to know us. I spent my entire summer vacation fucking around in my back yard bar and in here. these guys make me laugh hard every day! Trust me, no circle of friends will be willing to listen you your wallowing in real time. In the forums we will listen, we will comment...we will try to get your mind off your troubles. (hug) |

Hey, Rachel.
I'm very sorry to hear about what you're going through. Reaching out to the KATG community was a good idea. I'm so glad that I made my original post. The support that I received helped me more than I could say. My L'Chaim tattoo was a symbol of the gratitude I felt for everyone who reached out to me. Please, stay strong and keep in contact. It's been nearly a year now since my wife left and I can honestly say that I am very happy now. I'm back in my home province, surrounded by family and friends, and have an amazing girlfriend who loves me and makes me very happy. I know all too well that it's hard to imagine life getting better or loving again in moments like these, but it really does get better. I was so close to ending it all. If I can turn things around, I know you can too. Please don't hesitate to ask for help or advice or just to talk. We're all here for you. Feel free to PM me as well. Much love and support, Adam

You guys really are amazing! Thanks so much for taking the time to say something.
Booze and drugs are only doing so much right now. I smoke a good amount of pot and it doesn’t seem to affect me at all anymore. Maybe I need to find better stuff. I’m a little nervous about drinking too much, partly because of not trusting myself with my phone and partly because of not trusting myself with myself. My emotional acting-out while I’m drunk usually occurs in one of two ways – trying to fight blonde girls (only blondes for some reason) or going home with someone when I never would have if I was even half sober. I think if I get too drunk right now, I’ll probably end up in bed with some blonde dude who I’ll punch while we’re getting it on. Scumhook, I know what I did wrong. I loved him TOO much. He just couldn’t handle it. And the kid knows what a fuck-up she is. She’s already practicing her stripper routine. ![]() I just deleted his number from my phone! Now I can keep my phone with me while I drink! Adamus, I’m so glad to hear how well you’re doing! Even when you were talking about going through it, I thought you sounded like you had the type of strong character that perseveres. Good job, sir. |
