You know, I thought the setting and design of Assassin's Creed was cool and all, but man that game was boring as hell. I really want to get my hands on the second one, though. I've been watching a friend play it and it looks like a big improvement on top of all the shit that was already cool about the first game. Also, I've really been thinking about Far Cry 2 a lot. I want to play that game. Did anyone here play it already?

Got a 60gb PS3, here are the games I ended up getting, thanks to everyone for the suggestions.
Now I have to wait for the waffle iron to update... Quote:

I played Far Cry 2 on the 360 and enjoyed it. It's a good FPS with some fun free roaming. Almost everything explodes or starts on fire- who doesn't like that? It lacks the replay value of some of the multiplayer titans out there, though. Definitely worth a play.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna trade someone a copy of WaW and maybe something else to try out Far Cry 2. Also, could anyone recommend Dragon Age? My wife loved Oblivion and I'm thinking about picking that up for her based on the setting alone. Would she like it if she played the shit out of Oblivion?

No, I've heard that plenty of times as well. My options are just a bit limited. I'm not sure even my new computer will run Dragon Age smoothly and, honestly, my wife probably won't really know the difference.

Dragon age is a great game. It's better on the PC of course, but the console version is still a very good game in it's own right.
It's kind of like, if there was no PC dragon age, than there'd be no problem with the console version, the game's interface is completly playable. Because there's a pc version, it feels clunky because you know it's alot smoother to use on the pc. |

Just started playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for the Wii. So far thumbs down. Everything I loved about the three previous games is gone. No Alternate Costumes, No easy character swap, the controls feel clunky and ass backwards(I keep switching characters when I try to pause and waste my powers when trying to swap characters), No Collectibles(at least that I've noticed, they could just be really, really well hidden), the camera has only gotten worse, You can't destroy the environments, you're graded after every little area, which just takes up load time and pisses me off because I apparently spending half an hour trying to find the twelve thing in the area that are destroyable and end up getting a C, there's no online multi-player, there are invisible walls everywhere, they've dialed down the RPG elements, and the one thing that angered me the most, Storm wasn't playable from the get...I had to sully my game by using a cheat code in order to play as the only character I ever use(I actually am ashamed of myself, I am better than that.
![]() The graphics are the only good thing about the game so far. /Rant. |
