I dug SH2 and SH4, but had a hard time getting into SH3 because the protagonist didn't seem to have the inner-turmoil that was present in the other games (i.e. Did I kill my wife? Did I kill my brother? Am I a total fuckin' psycho?). Also, the story's focus on the "birth of a god" and the cult wasn't creepy enough for me. |

Heavenly Sword and Resistance, the first one.
Resistance has me iffy. It's a pretty substandard FPS. it seems to have something interesting about it, but the graphics remind me of Doom. I'm not sold, and maybe it's just about being able to go into cover, shich is something that makes a whoooole lot of sense. anyway, we'll see how it goes. Now, Heavenly Sword. I give it a 14 out of 10 for production value, voice acting and in-game/rendered graphics. The gameplay gets a 7. It's OBVIOUSLY a god of war wannabe, it never hides that, but it fails in a lot of ways if you compare it. I also HATE HATE HATE quick-time events. i have a horrible short-term memory and to mess up, get tossed back into the fray with a boss that now has almost its entire health makes me angry. I also hate "unblockable attacks" that are just cheap. I KNOW i need to increase my ability to learn combos, and I'm sure it will get a whole lot better once i do. But grr for now!

Resistance 1 sucked. I played it in co-op and we were dying to be done with the game 4 hours into it. That's sad. By comparison, I had more fun with Army of Two's co-op and played through the campaign twice in co-op, and I'd rate that game no higher than 7/10.

Holy fuck. Killzone demo - HOT AS FUCK.
Yay for creating fake UK accounts to download demo. Yay for the best FPS I've played in a long time. and yay for a demo actually making me glad I pre-ordered the game. |

thanks again, andsoitgoes, for Fallout3
so far, i;ve enjoyed it... although right now, I don't have enough cash to buy health things, and I don't have enough health thing to stay alive in the wastelands >=\ the next bit will be quite frustrating. |

I struggled with that for a good chunk of the game, but I found it helpful to sell every bit of ammo I was picking up that I wasn't using, particularly missiles and the minigun ammo. Oh, and get the Fortune Finder perk as soon as you can. I didn't get it until late and I think that was a mistake.
