L4D FTW, its still one of my favourite games of the 2008, not played it in a lil while but that's cos I was working through a bunch of other games I didn't complete, e.g. GTA 4, Halo 3 and Farcry 2.

Yeah, gears is different. Very different. FPS games don't rely on as much "stuff" as something like Gears. Hence the extent of lag, and the complexity of the actions to achieve your goal.

uh, you must not play a lot. That's a quick way to get yourself killed after a round or two. It may work when you're only playing with 1-bar people, but play in a room of people who have been playing a while, and that will get your shit killed, quickly.

Uh, no XP. You just need to realize that the bars are even for everyone playing. The only difference in rank is, sort of, play skill.

Great co-op games off the top of my head: Mercenaries 2, Halo 3, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and the aforementioned L4D. Saints Row 2 is great, and has co-op, but I haven't actually played co-op.

Don't bother with Army of Two unless it's like $20.

I would also add sports games like NHL09's MMROPG/Be a pro online team competition forces players to play as only their position and work with their teammates to win games.

GTA4 can be played in a semi sort of co-op fashion.

Alot of Xbox Live Arcade games have good co-op like: Castle Crashers and N+

Would anybody like to help organize or participate in a KATG co-op gaming night?

I said goodbye to L4D, in about 2 hours of game play I felt I had experienced everything the game has to offer. If you don't have other really good games to play it might be your cup of tea, I would rather be playing 2 or 3 of my other favorite games personally.

I'm still playing L4D regularly. I know the scenarios are all similar, but you can bring challenges on yourself to make things more interesting. Trying to get some of the achievements? I just got Tankbusters last night, I still need Man Vs Tank, etc, etc.

But I get that it's not the same for everyone, but I don't think I'll get bored of it anytime soon. My only issue is that it takes around an hour to complete each "movie" and it's sometimes hard for me to put aside an entire hour a night to do so.

I'm looking forward to Killzone 2. I wasn't going to get it, but since I got a wicked deal from Amazon, I'm going to jump on the boat. Figure why not, right?

My 360 finally shit out on me for good.

I bought it used back in early 2006, so it was an old, old, old model. It had been through the RROD warranty repair, and as of late, the disk drive hadn't even been opening. Finally, a few days ago... (sob) it stopped reading disks altogether.

We had some good times- I remember we used to stay up till dawn shooting people, aliens, animals, fictional monsters, mutants, cars, zombies, spaceships, even portals.

I opened it up, but I'm just not equipped to replace the drive and flash the firmware. If anyone's looking to buy a 360 for parts, let me know.

Anyway, I got a new one. An sexy young arcade model with HDMI that I can attach all my upgrade parts to. (leer face)

Good luck! With the price of the systems now, it doesn't make sense to buy any sort of warranty. With $50 being 1/4 the price of the arcade, it's so much smarter to just buy new.

Shame that the system build quality sucks so much, though.
